"Arrington de Dionyso first made his name with the crazed Olympia-based art rock unit, Old Time Relijun. And I guess they still technically exist, but he has lately been more involved with Indonesian musical investigations, and lots of overtly free jazz horn aktion. Shouting Over Deep Water Blues was recorded by Henrik Lofgren in July 2012, in a small boat floating off the coast of Sweden. It features five improvisations on the Bromiophone with occasional liquid accompaniment provided by nature. Asked to describe the Bromiophone, Arrington writes, 'After many years of intense focus on the resonances and multi-phonic potentials of the bass clarinet, I decided to experiment with an extended range PVC pipe instrument called the Bromiophone (after Bromios, the thunder-roaring aspect of Dionysos in Greek mythology). As a modular instrument using a bass clarinet neck and mouthpiece, the various tubes can be lengthened and shortened according to improvisatory whim and wonder. The palms of the hands cover two open air holes which can be modulated both with movement of the hands and variations in lung pressure and mouthpiece embouchure to control the production of pitch, volume, and most importantly variations in tone color.' We've heard lots of players from Chris Corsano to Borbetomagus to Hen Bennink and onward use strange tubes to blow through, but Arrington manages to play a wonderfully full recital here, combining the reed's intonations with vocals recalling some of Arthur Doyle's Voice-o-phone experiments, and small randomized percussion events. Some of the tone inventions initially have a feel one often associates with members of the Netherland's Instant Composers Pool, but Arrington has a stick-to-it-iveness that ultimately make the music seems as American as it is freaked. Stops Me From Picking and Actually Works
As a woman in my 40s, I never would have guessed I’d still need pimple patches, yet the occasional zit still pops up — and these things are like magic.
They work really well, blend into my fair/light skin nicely, and are barely noticeable at a quick glance. I’m also a terrible picker, and picking is so bad for your skin, so I love that these keep me from messing with pimples while doing all the work for me overnight. I’m always grossly fascinated by how much gunk they pull out by morning.
Very happy to have these in my little skincare emergency arsenal.

Camouflages well with the skin and sticks long enough
I was excited to try these Halo Dot patches because I was having some breakouts before a wedding I had to attend. I put these on three nights before the wedding only at nights and left them on until the morning. I washed my face the 1st night, yet the second night I did not and it still attached (mind that I have a very oily face by the end of the day).
With every application I saw good results as the breakouts were being reduced with each use. It is easy to put on and to carry out if you need to travel because it comes in two separate little envelope like package that you can put in a backpack/purse. These are thin and are almost not visible.

Easy to Use and Surprisingly Effective
Even though I am well past the age when I thought breakouts would stop happening, I still get the occasional pimple. As luck would have it, I felt one starting to pop up on my cheek the day after these Halo Dot Pimple Patches arrived.
Before bed, after washing and thoroughly drying my face, I applied one of the patches. It peeled easily from the backing sheet, and when I realized I had not placed it quite right, I was pleasantly surprised that I could lift and reposition it without any trouble.
What really impressed me was how well it blended into my skin. I was only wearing it overnight, but honestly, I do not think anyone would have noticed it unless they were looking very closely. In fact, I forgot I even had it on until I looked in the mirror the next morning.
The patch peeled off easily and had clearly pulled some of the buildup from the blemish overnight. There was no redness or irritation afterward, and the spot looked dramatically improved by morning.
The only downside for me is the price, especially since the package contains just 33 patches. That said, if they continue to work this well, I would definitely consider purchasing them again.

Love these already! Came in handy just when I need it!
These acne patches came in really handy when I had a random breakout near my lip, especially since that’s an area where I tend to wear a lot of makeup. They helped gently draw out impurities without being harsh on my skin.
I also like that they blend in well on the skin. They’re not tinted, but they still work nicely across different skin tones like advertised, which makes them less noticeable while wearing them.
You get a good amount in the package as well—33 patches total, with 18 patches on each sheet. Overall, they’re convenient to have on hand for unexpected breakouts, and I would definitely recommend them.
