This isopod variety is fairly bold and friendly, and a good option for people who want to see their isopods out and about more frequently. Zebra varieties are commonly recommended as clean-up crews in bioactive terrariums, and are less likely to be eaten by their tank-mates due to their especially hard exoskeleton. Like other zebras, they reproduce quickly and are hardy to a range of conditions. The prefer lower humidity but seemed unbothered by wetter conditions; just use caution as sustained higher humidity may cause problems with molts.
