Compact ("Dyform") Wire with eye terminal, ø14 mm, Length 25,2 m, Furlex 400A Compact wire (Dyform) can be used for Furlex to achieve 5% less stretch than with the standard 1x19 thread wire. The Compact wire kit includes a Sta lok wedge that must be used for a safe installation. AISI 316 stainless steel. The purpose of the plastic tube at the top end is to center the wire in the luff extrusion and prevent chafe between wire and top extrusion. This bearing is permanently fixed with a talurit. Our recommendation is that the forestay wire is replaced after 20000 nautical miles.
