An Essential Work of 19th-Century French Occultism from the Leading Intellectual of the Era

Explore Papus's Pivotal Teachings on the Secret History of the World, Symbols and Their Meanings, and the Nature of the Magical Universe

Available in English for the First Time

One of the most important books in the modern history of occultism, Papus's Elementary Treatise of Occult Science helped establish the shape of occult thinking and practice for decades...and its legacy as a source of spiritual philosophy continues today. Never before published in English, this work explores a fascinating interpretation of the history of the world and develops a powerful approach to decoding esoteric symbolism, a crucial skill for contemporary occultists. Papus also provides a stunning analysis of ancient mysteries, including Hermeticism, astrology, magic, alchemy, theosophy, signification of numbers, the astral plane, sacred geometry, Kabbalah, the tetragrammaton, the pyramids, and much more. This premium hardcover edition introduces the contemporary occultist to the ideas of one of history's most profound metaphysical thinkers.

Front Flap:

"Let us open the door and let us not be blinded by the light which escapes it, let us not be afraid to say that which must be said, because the masters wished that certain mysteries be revealed...What then have you seen on the occult side of the Universe?"--Papus

Elementary Treatise on Occult Science was one of the most influential books to emerge from the turn-of-the-century French occult revival--a detailed and readable description of the magical universe and humanity's place in it. Many important teachers and authors of the esoteric arts--including Madame Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner, and Manly P. Hall--were influenced by Papus's vision of occult philosophy and the hidden side of history. This volume, translated and annotated by Mark Mikituk with a foreword by John Michael Greer, provides a captivating view of Papus's visionary mind and his radical ideas.

A TERRIFIC FIND FOR US IN ECUADOR
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Here in Ecuador, this product isn't even available to us. I have the most precious 20 month old girl living with us and of course I wanted to get a quality product at less cost. This fits the bill. With an SPF 100 rating from a decades old and trusted manufacturer and a price that is less than one third of what I would have to pay for any sort of water resistant equivalent, this was a no brainer. If you buy this product, please read the instructions and follow them. It is a spray product that great care should be used to avoid spraying directly on the face--------- either your own or the child's. Spray it on your hand and apply it to any face that needs it. It's convenient for neck, shoulders, backs and legs due to its spray delivery. Our little 20 month old must be part fish because she loves the thermal pools we take her to and this product seems quite durable

SPF 100 FTW
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I find it very important to have strong sunscreen. Thankfully I found this with 100 SPF. So glad plus I’m happy that I found it in spray because it’s so much easier to apply the kids and then I just have them rub it in. It also makes reapplying so much easier because just start spraying and have them turn around and around that you’re good to go.

Not eczema skin friendly
Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1), Size: 5.5 Ounce (Pack of 1)
Since I didn’t remember which sunblock spray I had previously purchased (that was super awesome), I got this one with a few other ‘kid’ sunblock spray and stick. I had grabbed this one for a splash pad birthday party this weekend only to find out it’s messy and not eczema skin friendly. Either we got a defective bottle or it’s just the way it sprays: runny goops of sunscreen that takes awhile to dry properly (see photo). And when it dries it really does stick onto your skin as advertised (aka not breathable, pore clogging, will irritate sensitive/eczema prone skin). My youngest has eczema prone skin (that’s been flare up free for 3 years) had a severe break out on her arms after using this. And even for the sake of photo demonstration for this post my own sensitive skin got red/irritated. So does it stick-yup. Is it messy? Definitely. Easy to apply? No (your kiddos have to stay put until it dries). Did it provide sun protection? Maybe…? Sensitive skin friendly? No. Eczema skin approved? Definitely not. Recommended? Nope. We threw it away and requested a refund.

I love it
It does its work. I know many people don't like mineral sunscreens because of the white look on the skin( which it goes away once you rub it right), but I'm telling you, it's the only ingredient that it actually protects you from the UV rays and getting sunburn. The little one it's amazing and my kids love it because it's easy to put on.

Great children's sunscreen for sensitive skin
I really like this children's sunscreen. The facial stick that comes with it is quite small but it's still very convenient and works well. You do need to rub the facial stick in once it's applied to your child's face. The spray sunscreen also needs to be rubbed in as well because it comes out a little thick but is easy to rub in. There is not really a scent to it so my kids don't mind it being applied. My kids have sensitive skin too and we have had no problems as well. Would highly recommend!
