Two artists with a very personal style and strong sensibility. Their passion for Brazilian musicality and rhythms on one hand, and the vitality of jazz on the other, give rise to an encounter where voice, guitar, and piano intertwine, creating fresh arrangements, and contaminations of styles and worlds.
Refined harmonies and improvisation are inextricably linked to the search for beauty and simplicity in melodies, whether instrumental, where vocal parts are performed without lyrics, or through true poems, verses set to music.
Cappellino's voice, a nearly century-old Steinway grand piano, and Ballestrero's acoustic guitars, enhanced by the exceptional fidelity of Marco Lincetto's recording, as usual captured strictly live in the studio, lead the listener on a journey through the diverse souls that captivate the authors. From their original pieces to themes by great composers like Pat Metheny or Egberto Gismonti, interspersed with true songs, Brazilian songs with lyrics translated into Italian, a piece by Noa, and finally, the beautiful "Cara" by Lucio Dalla.
