薄手のコットン100%素材で加工しやすく扱いやすいため、ハンドメイドにおすすめです。インドで数百年にわたって受け継がれる伝統技法により、大きな木版を布に押し当てて染色する「ブロックプリント」生地。全ての工程が手作業で行われ、その温かみのある素朴な色柄が世界中で愛されています。
通常のブロックプリントに使われるボイル生地よりも厚みがあり、しっかりとした風合いのコットンです。ソフトで自然なドレープがあり、洗いざらしたような素朴な質感が特徴です。シワになりにくく、洋服にも小物にも扱いやすい素材です。透け感はボイルに比べて控えめで、一枚で仕立てても安心してお使いいただけます。
