This process can produce papers with a high grammage and exceptional resistance to scratching and erasing, when they are gelatin sized to the core. Only papermaking on a cylinder mould can produce paper with deckle edges. Its 100 % long cotton fibre composition gives the paper its beauty, a natural, lasting whiteness and an inimitable touch as well as strength. Exclusive to ARCHES®, gelatin sizing to the core preserves the lustre and transparency of the colours whilst preventing paints from penetrating into the paper. It allows superposing of washes and gives it added strength to resist erasing and scratching without tearing or linting. It also allows paints to be removed, either wet or dry, easily revealing the whiteness of the paper. ARCHES® Aquarelle can absorb a large amount of water with limited deformation.

Works for Sherpa, and heavy rugs
This worked on my 2 Sherpa jackets and a heavy furred rug. I tested it on my old Sherpa jacket that had the furs pretty much flat after years. I used this on it which took about 3 hrs to do and it feels brand new. I was so shocked that I used it on my old rug that had about an inch length in fur. The fur was all tangled so it had little stalks sticking out. After about 6-7 hrs, the rug was straight up rejuvenated felt brand new.
I’m was very pleased with this product. Now, the real question is it worth it? I’ll just tell my opinion from my experience and let you decide for yourself. The product itself feels sturdy with a wooden base. It’s around 6 and a half inches so not very big. (This is one of the reasons why the rug too so long.)The metal brushed was surprisingly durable. I was applying a good amount of force when combing my rug and there were no bending.
For 14 dollars and some elbow grease, I got two new jackets and a rug. The brush didn’t break so I can just keep using this to maintain. In my books, I got my moneys worth.

It Works!
A small size but fits my hand and really does the job well. I have two sherpa blankets that the fibers are matted down from the dryer (should have air dryed) and this brush glides through the fibers, does require some effort but well worth it as I get instant results of the before and after. So far, brush is intact and handling the job, one larger and one smaller blanket to go and both sides. Very happy with purchase!
