The new gimbal has been a development long in the making. Collecting all customer feedback over the last 3 years, we managed to manufacture to tighter tolerances with stronger materials to produce a more accurate, better feeling and more robust gimbal while keeping the cost minimal.

If you are considering an upgrade from your existing Mambo or Tango 2, here is a list of all improvements / benefits:

  • Polished, harder material for very smooth throttle feel
  • Metal lever for more accurate centering and extremes
  • Bigger control over throttle and pitch range
  • Minor design improvements to reduce manufacturing tolerances
  • Easier calibration despite the use of advanced 3D hall effect sensors

The TBS Tango 2 foldable gimbal stick. Made to watch-maker tolerances. A spring-loaded folding mechanism allows you to stow away your gimbals during transportation. Threaded so you can remove, clean and re-install them without any hassle.

The gimbals come pre-assembled and can be used both as "throttle" or "pitch" configuration, with ratcheted or smooth throttle functionality. The pitch axis throw can also be reduced by up to 10 degrees using the included screws. 

Note: You MUST immediately run gimbal calibration in OpenTX after you have installed the gimbals in your remote!

Solid, Quality Construction at a Value

It's amazing how much fun my new puppy and I have been having with a single, vacuum-molded piece of plastic. I have a 4mo named Walter and getting a Chuckit® was always in the cards. 1: I didn't know how cheap they were, and 2: I didn't realize how much fun it makes fetch. Really small things like being able to pick up the ball with the Chuckit® without having to bend down was so surprising and makes fetch last longer for both of us. Another tip is that I had watched videos where they say the throwing technique is sort of a punch, or whip action; where you sort of wind-up, throw, and then jerk your hand back (like cracking a whip). I started doing that and it was fine, and working without problems. But then I thought, "I'm just going to launch this with one continuous movement". And WOW what a difference. If you have the space (a big field, basically), you don't need to modify your throw to a punch or whip type movement. Just launch it like you're casting a fishing pole, and end your motion with the Chuckit® pointing directly at where you're trying to throw it. The ball naturally flies out at about a 45 degree angle. High and far. You don't need to overthink it. Additionally, if I'm in my backyard (fenced with neighbors all around) and I can't go high and far, I just side-arm it. And the ball releases on it's own. No need to whip. Looking forward to my Pup growing up so we can play longer. Love this thing. Oh one more tip from my brother– he says a lacrosse ball fits perfectly in these things too if you have a dog that wants to destroy your tennis balls. Lacrosse balls are practically indestructible. Just make sure not to launch it on any surface that will bounce, or you'll never see it again. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat. For the price, stop thinking about it, buy it, and go play with your dog!
