He and his grandfather (Gramps) were the only inhabitants of a beautiful little island called Weemuckle off the West coast of Scotland. Dougal is a bright, hard working lad who excels in every school task given. His grandfather, a retired sea Captain, sails him to school in their boat, 'The Condor', five days a week.
