Akuphone presents a collection of recordings of various musical practices from the Laotian provinces of Champasak, Attapeu, Sekong, Saravan, Luang Namtha and Phongsaly. These documents are a perfect introduction to the traditional music of South Laos minority groups. Popular modern music is widely spread but visitors are barely ever exposed to ancient acoustic practices from villages. As a matter of fact, mouth organs of various sizes exist among the Hmong and Bit as well as amazing vocal techniques among the Lantene, Ahka, or Khmu who combine simultaneous singing and flute notes. This collection also compels one to discover the Brao gongs, the Triang bamboo flutes, the Lao, Ta Oy, Alak, OI, Pacoh, or Nyaheun mouth organs as well as the powerful singing accompanying these instruments. Caught on the spot, these outstanding testimonies were collected between 2006 and 2013 by Laurent Jeanneau, aka Kink Gong. Through his researches, this self-taught ethnologist has gradually become one of the specialists of the field, building up a collection of complete and fascinating sound archives which contribute documenting parts of this immaterial heritage. Music of Southern and Northern Laos brings some light on a region of South East Asia still largely unknown from the general audience as well as the recently reborn ethnographic musical industry. This compilation will delight both molam/khene lovers and beginners unused to South East Asian sounds

Dog is obsessed with this.
The spa works as intended it lights up at night, which is super helpful for short winter days and for when the snow starts to pile up, it illuminates the snow pile that dog dropped it in so I can find it. I haven’t actually charged it yet. It came fully charged and has been in use for over a week without needing a recharge. We only use it on outside excursions together. I keep it in my pocket on walks in case he needs something in his mouth or an incentive to run a little off leash. I like that there are two settings to the light which I didn’t notice when I ordered it. One will shut off after five minutes of inactivity to save battery, which is really convenient so I don’t have to keep on screwing it to turn it on and off or there’s a second setting where the light stays on until you manually turn it off. We have it on the battery saving mode and we have never lost it. Overall, a really fun toy that even the neighbors, tiny dog who can barely pick it up and enjoys. It’s not really soft for like chewing, but that also means he’s not going to destroy it. It is a heavy ball to throw, but not too bad. One of my favorite purchases for this puppy.

Make sure your dog isnt a chewed it wont last long

These didnt last long.if your dog is a chewed i would not recommend. One our dogs ruined it fast.but these are fun toys for the dog.he chewed it and the battery part wouldn't stay in the ball. Our border california did just fine with it.he is not a chewed. Fun toy while it lasted.

Great ball!

I have a LaRoo rechargeable as well and wanted to get a second one since occasionally my dog will take it outside without me knowing. I ordered this one since I wanted a blue one. I actually like this ball better since it’s rubber/silicone which bounces better (also soft on his mouth) and the removal for the switch and charging has easier access. Highly recommend if you have a fetch lover especially before bedtime. It has a single light mode as well as a flash mode and changes to multiple colors. 100% worth the purchase and will be recommending

Night time fetch

I bought this product because i needed a light up ball that i can use at night to play fetch with my 50lb Portuguese water dog. Night time fetch is where its at!! Nobody around, and all focus on the bouncing disco ball that you 100% cannot lose, its that bright. Cheat code unlocked!
It’s been about a month or so of regular nightly use, and this product is fantastic. It is very durable made of a tough rubber silicone type material. The light lasts longer than you need it and is super bright. It is approximately the weight of a lacrosse ball and fits a chuck it thrower/launcher perfectly. It can be thrown very far with no damage to the ball or light. Best 20$ i spent for my dog. Its his favorite toy.
