Sola Scriptura and Sectarianism: The Rise of the Rogerenes in Colonial New London, 1664-1721John Rogers and the Rogerenes is the story of unforeseen consequences of the transatlantic trade. John Rogers and the Rogerenes is the story of unforeseen consequences of the

transatlantic trade. John Rogers and his brother, James, were wealthy New London

merchants who traded in more than just goods. They benefited from the exchange

of cultures, languages, and even religions. Indeed, those influences led John

Rogers to abandon Congregationalism and create America's first indigenous sect

based solely on the Bible.

As a dissenting group, John Rogers and his Rogerene followers leveraged the Bible

and oftentimes outlandish acts of protest to challenge the legitimacy of Connecticut's

established church and its theocratic stranglehold on the everyday lives of citizens.

In doing so, the Rogerene sect was an outcome of what one historian has called the

rough-and-tumble life of a colonial port town, New London. Their rich and varied

story stands in stark contrast to Connecticut's traditional reputation as the Land of

Steady Habits. The only thing steady about the Rogerenes was their unwavering faith

in the Word and their willingness to suffer persecution for their nonconformist faith.

Beyond their colorful history, the Rogerenes have much to teach us through their

influences on such varied subjects as the separation of church and state, polygamy, faith

healing, the importance of individualism, and the rights of the marginalized.

Great Product
Its a good product. It works gradually whitening teeth. I use this powder on top of the Boka Prebiotic toothpaste and I have to say I am pretty impressed how clean my teeth are, the whitening and no sensitivity issues.

Awful packaging
Just got the product so I can’t give opinion on if it works to whiten my teeth but I will say the packaging is awful. The powder gets all over the lip of the container and all over the sink. Hard pass unless you want to clean your sink each time you use it.

Pineapple and papaya
Color: A - Magic Mint (Pack of 3), Color: A - Magic Mint (Pack of 3)
I like it okay. I will use all of it but I am unsure if I will buy it again. It foams very little. I feel like I use more than I do with other pastes/gels. My mouth feels clean without having that too minty/medicinal taste from traditional flouride pastes. It comes out of the tube easy and sticks to my brush. I didn’t know until after I purchased it that there is papaya and pineapple extracts. There IS a photo in the product description that says this and I neglected to click through them all. I have two members in my household that are allergic to those ingredients so I have not had them try it. The only taste is a mild mint though. I think the whitening effects of nanohydroxyapatite pastes is much better than other popular brands that boast “whitening.” My teeth simply look whiter and shiny.
