Nephrite - Wikipedia

Pure Cut Nephrite Stone shows a variety of the calcium, magnesium, and iron-rich amphibole minerals tremolite or actinolite (aggregates of which also make up one form of asbestos). The chemical formula for nephrite is Ca2(Mg, Fe)5Si8O22(OH)2.
It is one of two different mineral species called jade. The other mineral species known as jade is jadeite, which is a variety of pyroxene. While nephrite jade possesses mainly grays and greens (and occasionally yellows, browns, black or whites), jadeite jade, which is rarer, can also contain blacks, reds, pinks and violets. Nephrite jade is an ornamental stone used in carvings, beads, or cabochon cut gemstones. Nephrite is also the official state mineral of Wyoming.

Nephrite can be found in a translucent white to very light yellow form which is known in China as mutton fat jade,[1] in an opaque white to very light brown or gray which is known as chicken bone jade,[1] as well as in a variety of green colors. Western Canada is the principal source of modern lapidary nephrite.[2] Nephrite jade was used mostly in pre-1800 China as well as in New Zealand, the Pacific Coast and Atlantic Coasts of North America, Neolithic Europe, and southeast Asia.

Nephrite jade is a tough stone, not an indestructible one. To clean nephrite jewelry, use plain lukewarm soapy water and a soft cloth. Be sure to rinse well to remove residues, since nephrite is porous and can absorb colors quite easily. (Avoid chemicals, ultrasonic cleaners and steamers for the same reason.)

Keep nephrite away from extreme temperature fluctuations or prolonged heat and strong light. Store nephrite away from other gemstones--you'll avoid scratches and fractures of both the nephrite and other stones.
It is best to always wrap your gemstones in soft cloth, fabric storage bag or place them inside a fabric-lined jewelry box.

Nephrite is especially popular throughout Asia for use in talismans and amulets. Unlike other gemstones, it is not uncommon to find entire pieces of jewelry, such as rings and bracelets, carved entirely from a single mass of nephrite. Nephrite jade jewelry is popular in New Zealand's Maori designs, especially among tourists.

Our nephrite jade--an opaque medium to dark green--is primarily from British Columbia. It combines beautifully with almost every metal (silver, gold and copper finishes all look stunning with nephrite), pairs gorgeously with a range of other gemstone materials (garnet for contrast, white pearl for neutral, etc.), and looks dazzling with Czech fire-polished and crystal beads. As nephrite is a tough stone, bead caps or knotting is recommended to protect surrounding materials.

work well
Color: Light
I recently switched to this mineral sunscreen after having irritation and redness from several chemical sunscreens, and it has made a big difference for me. My skin is sensitive, but this one feels gentle and comfortable without causing burning or itching. It gives me good protection and doesn’t leave my skin feeling worse by the end of the day. Definitely a better option for sensitive skin.

Glowy SPF skin tint, Great skin-like coverage
Color: Medium
I’ve tried a lot of skin tints and this one actually surprised me. The Colorescience Flex Shield gives that “your skin but healthier” look without feeling heavy or greasy. I love that it starts white and adjusts to your skin tone — it blends in really naturally and evens everything out without looking makeup-y. The finish is glowy but still skin-like, and knowing I’m getting SPF protection at the same time makes it perfect for everyday wear. On busy days this has honestly replaced my foundation.

OBSESSED - My New Go-To SPF ✨
Color: Glow
I don’t say this lightly - I’m OBSESSED. The Colorescience Glow SPF is hands down the best sunscreen I’ve ever used. This formula makes my skin look unreal - plumped, radiant, and healthy from morning to night. It gives that lit-from-within glow without ever looking greasy or heavy. I’m super sensitive to sunscreens (most of them irritate my skin and eyes), but this one is perfection. No reactions, no discomfort- just smooth, glowing skin all day. I also ordered the Flex and can’t wait to try it next. This is officially my forever SPF

Best Sunblock ever!!
Color: Bronze
I kept seeing this all over my social media, so I decided to do some research before purchasing. I was pleased at how high the reviews were. I decided to purchase and I’m totally obsessed! I’ve been using for a few months now and I don’t even wear any foundation anymore. This has literally replaced it. I love how it glides on like butter, and how It’s so smooth and light. I get so many compliments on my face. Best sunblock ever!! I’m forever a customer! Highly recommended!!

Bronze and Matte are brown girl friendly
Color: Bronze, Color: Bronze
TLDR: I got bronze and matte formulas and I have oily skin. I’m very happy with these. Bronze is a perfect match until it oxidizes so I mix it with medium for the perfect shade. Bronze will be flexible across a wide range of skin tones. Matte formula is perfect on its own, more like a satin matte finish. I think matte has less pigment than bronze. Both are easy to apply and reapply, blends nicely, zero white cast- no Casper. What I liked: I really like the finish on these. I have oily skin and these work well for me. They don’t burn my eyes. Bronze gives a little glow while matte tones down the shine but it’s not too matte, more like satin matte. I can wear matte on its own but I have to mix bronze with medium because it oxidizes after a few minutes. These are both great options for daily wear. What could be better: I wouldn’t change anything about the matte formula. But it can get thick after several reapplications. I wish the bronze formula didn’t oxidize. While it doesn’t oxidize every time, you just never know when it will. But mixing it with medium helps to keep it chill. Skin tone: For reference, I usually have to mix shades to get my perfect match. But my skin tone tans very easily and is lighter in winter, darker in summer. So I mix medium with bronze or tan. Some of my foundation colors if it helps you: Armani 7.8, Hourglass 11, EL DW 4N2, MUFE 3N42, NARS Aruba, Dior 4N, Haus Labs 330. Would I recommend: Yes! This is best for brown girls who want a tinted sunscreen without a white cast. And it’s even for lighter people who want to bronze up their skin. About my photos/video: Photos show me wearing each formula as well as swatches. Hope this helps!
