South is the remarkable tale of the ill-fated expedition, told in Shackleton's own words--breathtakingly illustrated in this unique edition with photography from the expedition, modern images of the Antarctic, and newly discovered photos from the Ross Sea Party.This handsome edition, first published in 2016, is presented in paperback to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the original publication and features images by expedition photographer Frank Hurley, modern color photography of the fauna and vistas the men encountered, as well as long-lost photos taken by the expedition's Ross Sea Party and discovered in 2013.
The expedition's story begins on the eve of World War I, when the ship Endurance departed England with Shackleton and his team of six men. The plan was to travel 1,800 miles across the icy continent from the Atlantic side, while a second team aboard the Aurora, would reach Antarctica's Pacific side and lay out supply depots for the advancing team. As the Endurance approached the continent, however, it became hopelessly locked in an ice floe, beginning a series of harrowing travails.
Today considered an adventure survival classic, South is the true story of a thrilling polar expedition. Never before has Shackleton's lively prose been so extensively and stunningly illustrated.

Won’t go a day without it

So much better than the sugar version which has SOOOO much sugar it gave me heartburn. Yes, the sugar version is tasty like Tang, but that sugar gave me indigestion. The aspartame version was disgusting. This Stevia is awesome. Because it doesn’t have tons of sugar, you only need 2 heaping teaspoons instead of 2 tablespoons of the regular. I think it’s delicious and also has natural coloring, the sugar version has artificial dyes. I drink it everyday and my GI tract has never been happier. Only one small issue, this size container (~14 oz) is narrow, so buy the bigger bottle (23 or 34?) so you can reach in to scoop it easily. I have zero bloating or gas and sometimes take it more than once per day. It supposedly decreases appetite if taken before meals. It expands in your gut! Perfect. Just don’t take it within 2 hours of oral meds/vitamins as it can supposedly decrease gut absorption. Enjoy the results!!

Lower Cholesterol and Better Digestion, Even if the Taste Takes Getting Used To

I started using this fiber supplement after my doctor recommended it to help manage my cholesterol. I like that it’s plant-based and sugar-free, and it’s easy to mix into water. After taking it regularly, I’ve noticed a positive impact on my digestion, and I’m hopeful it will help with my cholesterol in the long run. The only thing is that the taste and texture aren’t quite what I expected — it’s a bit like protein powder. Still, the health benefits make it worth continuing
