A richer lather. A smoother, more controlled shave.

Magnate is a high-performance shaving soap, handmade in small batches in Wales and created exclusively for The Personal Barber. Its vegan, tallow-free formula produces a dense, creamy lather that softens coarse hair, improves razor glide, and leaves your skin feeling comfortable long after you’ve finished shaving.

If you’ve used soaps that feel thin, dry your skin, or offer little protection, this is a clear step up.

Key Benefits
  • Dense, cushioning lather for a smoother, more controlled shave
  • Softens stubble quickly for reduced drag and fewer nicks
  • Minimises irritation, razor burn, and post-shave tightness
  • Leaves skin feeling hydrated, not stripped or dry
  • Consistent performance from start to finish
  • Handmade in small batches for quality you can rely on
Refined, Commanding Fragrance

Magnate is designed to be clean, confident, and quietly distinctive.

  • Top notes: Bergamot, lemon, plum, apple, geranium, oakmoss
  • Heart notes: Carnation, mahogany, cinnamon
  • Base notes: Vetiver, cedar, sandalwood, olive tree, vanilla

Fresh at the start, it settles into a warm, woody depth with a subtle hint of spice. Present without ever being overpowering.

Built With Ingredients That Perform
  • Stearic Acid & Coconut Oil
Create a thick, stable lather that protects the skin throughout the shave
  • Avocado Oil & Shea Butter
Help condition and soften the skin for a smoother finish
  • Castor Oil
Improves glide and enhances lather density
  • Vegetable Glycerine
Locks in moisture to prevent post-shave dryness
  • Vitamin E
Supports overall skin comfort and conditioning
Why It’s Better Than Standard Shaving Soaps

Many shaving soaps produce a light, airy lather that breaks down quickly, leaving your skin exposed and prone to irritation.

Magnate is formulated differently.

Its rich, stable lather stays consistent throughout your shave, giving you better protection, improved glide, and more control with every pass. Combined with its small-batch production and carefully balanced ingredients, it delivers a level of performance that mass-produced soaps struggle to match.

How to Use
  1. Soak your brush in warm water
  2. Load the brush on the soap for 20 to 30 seconds
  3. Build a thick lather in a bowl, hand or directly on the face
  4. Apply evenly and shave with light, controlled strokes
  5. Rinse and enjoy a smooth, comfortable finish

Magnate is made for men who want their shave to be simple, effective, and consistently good. No fuss, no compromises, just a better result every time.

Great Book
Format: Paperback
I am reading this book for our Sabbath school study. Great reading. Submissions are made by real people trying to live right in a wrong, so wrong world. Very applicable to real life.

Valuable and timely
Format: Kindle
The various perspectives on the topic of diversity was refreshing, and the focus was on what is most important about the Christian faith. It is much better to read case studies like these rather than the echo chamber of social media.

The Power of Story in the Information Age
Format: Hardcover
After reading John Inazu's first book 'Confident Pluralism', I thought this might be a deeper foray into the legal/cultural difficulty of living faithfully in a pluralistic society. Instead, Inazu and Keller do something different. They challenge us to listen to stories of folks seeking to embody the principles of 'confident pluralism'. Does it offer easy answers? No. However, it does offer us a window into the rich ways that God can move us, transform us and position us for His purposes in communities where we might have deep disagreements. Overall, these stories of small and large acts of faithfulness to exemplify Christ's humility, patience and tolerance were deeply encouraging to person that constantly tries the patient of a God whose love he does not deserve. Very thankful to Inazu and Keller for organizing this. This is an important conversation in an acrimonious age where we falsely substitute information/vital statistics for people/real relationship.

easily accessible stories for engaging the culture
Format: Kindle
Inazu gathers stories of Christians seeking to engage the broader culture while maintaining their faithful beliefs. I appreciate the varied perspectives, though not agreeing with all, but then his four categories as the beginning of practicing this. That one line demonstrated a humility that I appreciated. This brings practical application into a narrative form that should be easily accessible
