Sage green aran weight pure alpaca yarn

These are skeins of pure Alpaca yarn, my Rhizone base. All my bases are named after parts of plants and trees. 

It is 100% alpaca from a British herd and spun in Britain. Aran 100g skeins approx 140m. 

This is a beautiful soft and lustrous yarn. Alpaca is a hollow fibre and has less bounce than wool. It would make lovely shawls and accessories and can be used for garments as long as allowance is made for it's lack of spring. I would recommend knitting or crocheting a sample and washing it to measure any changes.

This skein has been dyed with willow, dye lot 19582.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain. A little may come off when knitting but this will quickly settle down.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
