- A jigsaw compels us to spend time with an image, an analysis of observation searching for structures, patterns and other visual clues to be able to solve the puzzle. The Tempus series of paintings by Hilarie Mais, although systematic in approach, undermine any sense of order, they obey a series of rules but are organic and allow for a fluidity of random occurrences. Mais’ painting Tempus 6 is an exploration of the intersection of the grid (square) and spiral (circle) geometric systems. The reproduction of the work as a jigsaw introduces another grid system in the puzzle dieline that dissects the image into fragments, creating a puzzle of exceeding difficulty.
- Hilarie Mais has lived and worked in London, New York and Sydney, her work reflects a long and deeply realized passion for the grid, the central trope of modernist art. She has held thirty three solo exhibitions, been included in more than one hundred group exhibitions in Australia, the USA,UK, Asia and Europe, as well as three retrospective survey exhibitions of her works at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney, Tarrawarra Museum of Art, Victoria ,the ANU Drill Hall University Gallery, Canberra and the Contemporary Art Centre of South Australia, Adelaide,. Mais' works are included in the collections of the Australian National Gallery, all State Galleries, numerous Regional Gallery collections, as well as corporate and private collections in Australia and internationally. She is represented by KRONENBERG MAIS WRIGHT in Sydney.

Nice to Have 90° Angle USB-C Adapters
The Herfair 180 Degree USB C Adapter is compact, simple to use, and fits snugly inside the USB C ports I've plugged it into. I got it to use with my Steam Deck, since the charging port comes out of the top of the device, and holding it with the cord sticking out of the top creates unneeded pressure. Something like the Nintendo Switch has the port coming out of the bottom, but then you can't comfortably rest the device in your lap. The benefit of using this adapter is that I'm now getting the best of both worlds. It extends just enough to let the cord freely travel down the back of the Deck, but it's compact enough that I can set the Deck down on a flat surface and the adapter doesn't touch the desk or tabletop. Even better, it fits right alongside the exhaust fan attachment that I use to keep the Deck cool.
All in all, this adapter did exactly what I was hoping it would and fits so well that I can pretty much forget it's there unless I'm putting the Deck in its carrying case. I'm really glad to have this!

Does exactly what you need it for.
I like these adapters.
Some pros:
* There's a blue light to show that power is coming to the adapter (great to ensure you've plugged it in correctly)
* The gap at the bottom of the plug ensures that it works with a phone in a case. (I tested it on an iPhone 15 pro max)
* The connectors are solid good click when connected.
* The housing is solid aluminum (no flex or seams, etc)
* There is a little label on each that shows how much power or data can go through it.
Use case:
* Allowing you to use your phone on your bed while the phone is sitting on your chest (and still plugged in)
* For the USB-C to female USB-A female adapter, the page shows that you can use this to connect a flash drive or a regular USB-A cable with the other end going to your peripheral (like a keyboard or game controller)
Overall, this is a great item to own in your gadget bag.

They work.
They work fine for my sort of "specialized?" use. By relieving the strain on the laptops USB ports. Hopefully, prolonging their lifespan.
Do wish they would make the edges and corners a bit rounded.
