Local people are seen at work, at play and socializing. Iron workers, construction crews and munitions makers show us the gritty, tiring work of a community and emphasize the man and animal power once common in industry. There are social changes as well, like the coming of women to the workplace. Shirtwaisted ladies at the Illinois Watch Company and "Rosie the Riveter" on the production line during the war make their appearance. Aerial views of the downtown area present a century of change in Springfield. The evolution of transportation in the community is chronicled, from horse and buggy to the railroad to the automobile. Images of ladies cooking at Temple and crews preparing community garden plots showcase the city's volunteer service heritage. Commonplace images of life in Springfield, such as children at play, shopping, parades, and the first day of school, are all presented here. But the less common events are included as well: fires, the race riot, even a baptism at Lake Springfield. Together, these images tell the story of who we were, and perhaps more importantly, who we have become as a result. Looks good so far, will update once installed
Have not installed this yet, so this is only a first impression review. I bought it to use in the wheel well area on my truck, so I’ll update later once I actually get it on and see if it makes a real difference. So far it looks good out of the box and seems straightforward enough. One thing I’d recommend is making sure you have a sound deadening roller for install, because I would not try putting this on without one. Too early for me to say how well it works for road noise since it is not installed yet, but I wanted to post my initial thoughts for now and will update later.

Solid Product, lots of it too
Ive had the insane rattling from my subwoofer and the highway drone from my aftermarket exhaust, and this 80mil sound deadening mat was the exact fix I needed. The 36 sqft kit (which comes as 33 pieces) was plenty to fully cover my trunk, rear deck, and floorboards. Since it's a butyl-based material, there’s no awful asphalt smell, and it adhered incredibly well with just a simple roller.
The difference is honestly night and day. My bass hits so much tighter and cleaner now without the whole back end vibrating like a tin can. Even better, the cabin is significantly quieter at high speeds; that aggressive exhaust drone is finally muffled to a deep, tolerable purr. If you want an affordable way to upgrade your audio quality and actually hear your music on long drives, I highly recommend this! It took some weekend elbow grease, but the payoff is incredible.

Would recommend
Size: 10 sqft
I used this sound deadening material in my car during an audio and interior upgrade, and the difference was noticeable immediately. Road noise, vibrations, and rattling were reduced a lot, especially on the doors and floor panels. The car feels much quieter and more solid while driving now.
The material was easy to cut and apply, and the adhesive stuck very well without peeling up. It has a quality feel to it and conforms nicely around curves and tight areas. I also noticed my speakers sound cleaner and have better bass response after installing it.
For the price, this sound deadening material is a great value and definitely worth it if you want a quieter ride and better overall sound quality in your vehicle.
