It’s part of Makita’s expanding 18-Volt Lithium-Ion series, the world’s largest cordless tool line-up powered by an 18-Volt Lithium-Ion slide-style battery. Makita 18-Volt Lithium-Ion batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, so they spend more time working and less time sitting on the charger. For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. Better than anticipated. These are sturdy and work very well. They came with a little funnel to fill, but easy enough without it. They are attractive, I keep on top my stove as I have room. Grind well.

Defective coarseness adjuster

These salt and pepper shakers are ok. According to the description of the product, you should be able to adjust the coarseness of the salt and pepper added to them, but that was not my case. The coarseness adjuster on the set I received is set to one position and there is no way of changing it. The grinders work well, but if you are looking to adjust the coarseness of your salt and/or pepper look for another grinder set.
