With a passion for this unconventional instrument and a team of highly skilled artisans, Battiloro Handpan began creating artisanal handpans in Italy in 2016. Each handpan is entirely handmade, respecting the very nature of the Handpan, born as a labor of love.

Known as the "432 Hz Handpan Specialists", they have focused on creating Handpans tuned to 432 Hz as to be more harmonious with the frequencies of nature.

The power of music is such that in certain moments of thick darkness it knows how to keep the sky of uncertainty lifted, like the pole holding up the circus tent, waiting for the fury of emotions to subside. A rare and precious name of African origin, Kya means “diamond in the celestial vault.” The C sharp “pygmy” scale, both delicate and meditative, leans on and draws strength from the exceptional craftsmanship of the instrument. There are twenty notes carved on it, twelve are in the upper half and eight in the lower part, including two Ding. The result is extreme harmonic precision, capable of enhancing its patient and meticulous tuning. Every single note of Kya has the soul on the tip of its lips: for it is always our inner spirit that takes us by the hand and keeps in shape that emotional muscle that world history has taught us to call heart.
