400W Lightweight Portable Solar Suitcase for Home Backup, RV and Off Grid Power

This 400W lightweight portable solar suitcase gives you real charging power without a rooftop install. At about 30 pounds and folding down to a compact suitcase, it is easy to carry from the backyard to an RV site, a hunting cabin, or the driveway when the grid goes out. Pair it with a portable power station or a 12V battery bank and charge controller for quiet, fuel free backup power that keeps fridges, lights, routers and device chargers running when everything else goes dark.

A charge controller is required when you are charging batteries directly. If you are using a portable power station, just make sure its DC input can accept more than 48 volts, and you are ready for plug and play solar.

High Efficiency 400W Folding Solar Panel You Can Actually Move

Instead of wrestling with multiple small panels, this suitcase gives you 400 watts of solar in one clean package. It uses high efficiency cells, around 23 percent, and a compact layout that pulls more power from the same footprint, so you get useful charging even on short winter days or during shoulder season camping.

Opened up, the panel gives you a wide solar collection surface. Folded, it is roughly 28 by 34 inches and about 3.2 inches thick, which fits easily in a truck bed, RV storage bay or closet at home. At 30.2 pounds, most people can carry and set it up without help, which matters when you are working alone at a cabin or rolling the rig into a campsite.

Rugged 400W Solar Suitcase Built For Years Outside

This is not a delicate, baby it in the garage type panel. The frame and legs are built for repeated setup and takedown, and for living in the real world where wind gusts, gravel and rough ground are normal.

Sturdy aluminum kickstands hold the tilt angle so you can aim at the sun instead of chasing a panel that wants to fold up. The surface uses an ETFE coating that resists scratches and staining better than basic plastics. The assembly meets at least IP67 for dust and water protection, with IP68 rated solar connectors, so rain, dust and road grime are part of its job, not a deal breaker. Fiberglass construction keeps weight manageable without feeling flimsy.

Working temperature is wide, roughly minus 40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit, so whether it is a winter outage in the suburbs or a hot summer on the road, the panel is built to keep producing.

Portable Solar For Prepared Homeowners, RV Owners And Off Grid Land

If you are a suburban homeowner, this 400W solar suitcase is an easy way to keep a backup system ready without permanently covering your roof. Park it in the sun, plug into a battery bank or power station, and you have a quiet backup that can keep your essential loads going during storms and grid failures. No gas cans, no pull cord, no noise that has the neighbors glaring across the fence.

For van and RV owners, it means you do not have to chase perfect roof space or park in full sun all the time. You can park in the shade, carry the suitcase into the sun and still keep the fridge, fans, lights and devices happy. For off grid cabins and homesteads, it works as either the main charging source for a small system or a flexible add on that can be moved between buildings and vehicles.

Simple 400W Solar Suitcase Kits And Options

You can buy the 400W portable solar suitcase on its own if you already have a charge controller or a compatible power station. You can double up to a two panel suitcase bundle when you need more charging power for larger battery banks or faster recovery after cloudy spells.

If you are starting from scratch, the bundle with a 40 amp MPPT charge controller gives you a matched controller for 12 or 24 volt battery systems, ready for a typical RV, van or small backup setup. The compact home cabin kit adds two Core Mini 12.8V 100Ah lithium batteries, the 40 amp MPPT controller and pre matched cables, turning the suitcase into the heart of a simple off grid or backup system for a small cabin, shed or utility room.

Each configuration comes with a user manual and electronic warranty card, so you have clear wiring and setup guidance on day one.

Key Specs For The 400W Lightweight Portable Solar Suitcase

The panel itself is rated at 400 watts max power, with an open circuit voltage of about 47 volts and operating voltage around 40 volts at roughly 10 amps. Maximum system voltage is 600 volts DC with a 15 amp maximum series fuse rating.

Dimensions opened are about 111.8 by 33.7 by 0.8 inches, folded about 27.9 by 33.7 by 3.2 inches, with a weight near 30.2 pounds. It carries a 3 year material and workmanship warranty, with an additional 2 years extended coverage on the panel in this product line, so you are not gambling on a no name suitcase that might quit after one season.

For many of the people you are designing systems for, this 400W lightweight portable solar suitcase is the missing piece that turns a battery and inverter into a real, repeatable backup and off grid solution, without committing to permanent roof work or a full ground mount array.

Good soundbar for a bedroom
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
I own a Fire TV (not the stick) and kept having volume issues on everything so finally picked up this sound bar by Amazon. It's an excellent value for the price on Black Friday / Cyber Monday. Football games, TV shows, Netflix movies &, Amazon prime now sound clear and good and the movies get brought to life with bass. Just don't expect the movie experience to be like your media room or main TV where you have a proper audio setup. This is meant for a bedroom not a family room. When doing setup be sure to select eArch in the FireTV audio settings I found if you leave it set as AUTO the SoundBar tends not to automatical turn off. Pros: Setup is simple and takes five minutes or less (unless ur doing a wall mount). Mine is setting on a TV cabinet. The original FireTV remote works with out needing to switch to the one that is in the box (unless want to change the EQ settings). Came with an HDMI cable as most sound bars by the bigger brands do not include one. Sound quality is impressive along with the bass (I haven't changed any settings).. I do car audio installations I was impressed by the bass as to no subwoofer. It's not going to rock the room but for a bedroom it provides enough. If you expected to shake the room then you need the Amazon 3.1 soundbar which is made for a family room. Bluetooth audio also sounds great when connected to a mobile phone as the source. Cons: Seems a few times the volume settings has a lag when you increase or decrease the volume by a few seconds. Final impression: I found it to be a good purchase with good sound quality.

A Solid Entry-Level Option!
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar, Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar offers a decent audio upgrade for those looking to improve their TV's built-in sound without breaking the bank. Dolby Audio, along with the convenience of Fire TV integration. However, it's important to have realistic expectations given its price point. What's Good: Easy Setup: Connecting the soundbar is a breeze, especially if you already have a Fire TV device. The setup process is guided and intuitive. Fire TV Integration: This is a major selling point. Seamlessly controlling the soundbar with your Fire TV remote is incredibly convenient. No juggling multiple remotes! Improved Sound over TV Speakers: The soundbar definitely provides a noticeable improvement in clarity and depth compared to most television speakers. Dialogue is clearer, and the overall soundstage is wider. Compact Size: The soundbar's slim profile fits nicely under most TVs without being intrusive. Affordable Price: This is a budget-friendly option for those wanting better sound without a huge investment. Bluetooth Connectivity: The ability to stream music wirelessly from your phone or other Bluetooth devices is a welcome addition. What's Not So Good: Limited Bass: Being a 2.0 system, the bass response is somewhat lacking. While it adds some low-end presence, it won't satisfy those looking for deep, rumbling bass for action movies or music. Consider a subwoofer if bass is a priority. Virtual Surround Sound: While DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio are present, the simulated surround sound effect is subtle. Don't expect a truly immersive experience. It provides a slightly wider soundstage, but it's not a replacement for a dedicated surround sound system. Sound Quality Could Be Better: While better than TV speakers, the overall sound quality is adequate, not exceptional. The mid-range can sometimes sound a bit muddy. Limited Connectivity: The soundbar primarily focuses on Fire TV integration. While it has Bluetooth, it lacks other input options like HDMI ARC, which could limit its versatility. Overall: The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar is a good entry-level soundbar for those primarily focused on improving the audio from their Fire TV and who are on a budget. The seamless Fire TV integration and improved dialogue clarity are its strongest points. However, if you're a serious audiophile or crave powerful bass, you'll likely need to spend more for a higher-end system. This soundbar is best suited for casual viewers who want a simple and affordable upgrade to their TV's built-in speakers.

Happy for now but not impressed
Configuration: Fire TV Soundbar
So, I have a insignia fire tv so you would think an Amazon fire soundbar would work perfectly? It was particularly hard to set up, but the issue was that tv speakers wouldn't switch off so I would have an echoing, double effect of audio. The setting said they were off, but they were not. In fact, I couldn't even switch them off normally. Even with nothing connected, I switch them off and still get sound pushed through. I kept trying to fix it. What I had to do was: 1) Settings 2) HDMI-CEC control 3) Switch One Touch Play off 4) Turn off Soundbar 5) Set Volume to 0 6) Turn Soundbar back on That seem to let the soundbar function independently, get rid of the echoing, and get everything to work as described. The downside, the volume will only go up and down at 2 intervals despite what I set it to internally. And, there is no easy way to switch between the TV and sound bar for audio without screwing up the good result I got after working all day on it. Also, make sure you plug into your first HDMI port/Arc port. I had my gaming console set up and didn't realize my intital issue of no sound was the fact that I needed to swap the ports. Frankly, being an Amazon soundbar with and Amazon TV that specifically has a set up for it. I would say the functionality kind of sucks because it it should just work, like it says it should, by following the instructions without having to search up and down for way to keep both audios from playing. Like, the setting say the internal speakers were off despite being a lie and that setting effected nothing. It made it more difficult them it needed to get it to work somewhat normally. I would prefer to set it so volume interval is 1 but I guess to make this usable I am stuck at 2 everytime. And, I better hope that nothing changes and messes it up again in a update to the TV. The sound itself is a improvement, and there is a marked difference between regular and surround sound. It sort of like watching TV versus going to a theater. It terms of the way it fills the room and hits your ear. I can't say that the movie, music, dialogue settings seem to different to me. The size is okay. It just tall enough to not block my screen. The length is just about the size of my dresser. Depth is about 3.5 inches so as long as you have another room in front or to push back your TV, you will be fine. Overall, it is nice but I am not sure if I am total happy I bought it considering it was almost $90 for what I would categorize as works okay. I feel like for that price, and the fact I specifically bought Amazon for the fact I thought it would better with fire tv, that I am not blown away. Happy for now, but not impressed.
