These Ladies Fairisle wrist warmers are knitted in four ply yarn using an ombre set of Blue Faced Leicester and Masham yarn. This could be in natural colours or a set that has been dyed using the same colour. They are knitted flat and then seamed. There is a hole left for the thumb to slip through.

The set used was 100g mini set of Allium Threads four ply Calyx base yarn consisting of five skeins of 20g each in cutch colourway. 

Calyx – Blue Faced Leicester Masham - 50% Blue Faced Leicester, 50% Masham

Four ply 100g Skeins Approx. 450m

Blue Faced Leicester is a soft yarn and the Masham lends a depth and subtle marbling to the skeins. The two wools are combined in different proportions to produce an ombre set.

The wrist warmers may be knitted on 3.25mm needles.

This item matches and co-ordinates with the Marquetry hat and scarf.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
