The 4-pad spring-centered race disc incorporates a spring-center to effectively damp torsional vibrations, ensuring quieter operation and resistance to failure even under harsh conditions. ACT spring retainers utilize wraparound spring windows and thicker retainer stampings to provide spring support, reduce stress concentrations, and enhance strength and reliability. Although engagement with the 4-pad spring-centered race disc may be harsher, shifting is expedited. This disc is particularly well-suited for smaller disc sizes in smaller engines.
