Udarea Cactusului de Crăciun este un aspect important, având nevoie de apă în cantități moderate, o dată pe săptămână ,oferindu-i substratului timp să se usuce între două udări.  Ai grijă totuși, un exces de apă poate provoca putrezirea plantei !

Planta se poate înmulți foarte ușor prin segmente de tulpină recoltate la începutul verii, lăsate să se cicatrizeze și se introduc în nisip sau compost pentru a forma rădăcini în cel mai scurt timp.

Planta este disponibila in perioada Sarbatorilor de Iarna.
