In keeping with the very ethos of Far Out Recordings, The Friends From Rio project cements the bonds originally welded by a young Joe Davis, when he set off to Rio, in search of the mysterious sounds of Brazil. Coming from the heart and soul of Rio de Janeiro, Project 2014 features some of the most accomplished legends of Rio's musical underground, including Alex Malheiros, Hyldon, Aleh Ferreira, Robertinho Silva, Sabrina Malheiros and a host of other Far Out Recordings favorites. Consisting of all original material (with the exception of a blistering version of Jorge Ben's timeless "Mas Que Nada"), this is a reunion of old friends and that's exactly how it sounds. Every track is in some way reminiscent of the kind of music Joe Davis and friends were playing on the underground club scene in London, back at the time of the first Rio project. While principally a Brazilian record, lofty disco synths and funk basslines take tracks "So Resta A Porta","Veneno" and "Fogo No Chao" beneath the lights of a spinning mirror ball, while samba batucadas and fiery brass sections keep "Casino Bangu" and Hyldon and Alex Malheiros's fantastically funky "Leite de Pedra", decidedly under the Rio sun. The album also explores deeper territory with "Batucada Bidu" providing an instrumental stint of intense, driven samba percussion, while Robertinho Silva's solo on "Japa" is deep and intriguing Brazilian jazz music at it's finest. Nostalgia balanced with vitality is inherent throughout, punctuated by the artwork, which is based on the bottle cap of the '60s/'70s Brahma Guarana. Yet while the album is something of a reunion, finally managing to work with renowned Brazilian artists Hyldon, Aleh Ferreira and others, it was an opportunity Far Out Recordings could not pass up on. It's a collaborations with legends like these, with the flare of Azymuth's Alex Malheiros, the direction of label boss Joe Davis and the production of Daniel Maunick that make the Friends From Rio project, the truly special record it is, just like the two Rio projects before it. Also features: Carlos Dafé, Suonho, Denise Pinaud, Ivan Matheus, Banda Utopia, Agnaldo Kantor, Joao Coutinho.

Hana approved, gold star toy

This is, according to Amazon, our 11th set in 3 months. According to Hana, our shiba/chi mix, this toy is immaculate. Crunch score is a 10/10 and the squeak? Don't get her started. High pitched, easy to squeak and protected by just enough crunch and fabric that it actually lasts. In fact, she will tear the toy open before the squeaker gives up. This may seem like a small feat, however most toys last 12-30 minutes before the teefies take the squeaker out of commission. Lambchops last about 15 minutes before the squeaker gives in and fluff decorates the floor. The only reason we buy so many so often is because 1. The teefies do eventually puncture and the moment that happens she guts the poor Claw instantly. And 2. She has about 11 teefies, so the mouth gets kinda icky and due to the crunch, washing these kind of sucks- retains a lot of water and cant dry. So we replace them often even if she doesn't get to the gutting.
10/10. Its her favorite toy. And we've tested a lot of toys.

These are ADORABLE!

These are adorable! I got them as a gift for my in-laws pups and when I was taking pics of them my dog now wants them soooo I’m going to order more for her! They are so soft and the details are hilarious! Just be careful because the pawcohol content is pretty high so I’m sure your dog will be feeling it after just one! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

My dog went absolutely wild for these they crinkle but thy don’t squeak and I went wild for that! She is a stuffy destroyer and she’s had them for 20 minutes now and they are still intact great product I’ll definitely be ordering more toys from you guys

My dog loves these toys!

My dog is obsessed with these toys! We jokingly say that he’s a “doggie alcoholic” because he seems to not destroy any toys like this. They’re very soft and each of them has a squeaker! He’s a German Shepherd so they’re a little on the small side, but he loves them none-the-less! Wouldn’t recommend for tough chewers if you’re looking for something that lasts, but they’re cute and fun either way! Love the fact that they’re made by a small business as well. Will have to update with a picture in a bit!

Great Toy!

These are great! I bought last Christmas for our pup- a 17 lb Aussie doodle. She’s pretty rough on toys. Usually pulls the stuffing right out in a few days. But these have lasted all year. Came back to buy her 2 new “flavors” to put under the tree.
