Australian death / black metal unit Consummation have completed work on their debut full-length album The Great Solar Hunter. Consummation is the brainchild of vocalist / guitarist Craig Young (ex-Impetuous Ritual) who is joined by drummer David Hayley (of technical death metal wizards Psycroptic) and bassist Joel Rademaker. Alongside this central trio, the album also features guitarist John Gossard (Dispirit /Asunder / The Gault / Weakling) among it's ranks, lending his guitar work to this colossal work in helping to elevate it to an even darker, more warped and epic plateau.This album succeeds the band's 2017 Ritual Severance EP (Invictus Productions), which was the follow-up to their 2012 self-titled demo. The Great Solar Hunter is the result of the band's serpentine-like build up, since inception, to a impenetrably demonic and monolithic sonic vastness. The band's elongated tracks are a key element to this sound-dark, murky, atmosphere-drenched dissonance and twisted guitar riff mutations flow through tense passages, building and culminating in epic and moving moments of melancholic majesty and triumph. It is these elements that give the band their sense of singularity and noteworthiness within the mire of extreme death /black metal.

Beautiful jewelry display

A few rough edges, but all in all well made and attractive. Holds lots of earrings and I can drape my necklaces on the tree. There's a nice bowl for bracelets and a nice tray that forms the base.

Gorgeous

It really is pretty to look at. To be honest arranging the earring on the tree is a bit of a pain, because the leaves tilt in different directions, and you have to play with it a bit to get the earrings to hang the way you would like them, but once you figure it out, they look very nice. I just adore it because it looks so pretty. I use the basket on the side for rings and watches, and the little plate in the base for a few miscellaneous pieces like necklaces or bracelets for balance and because they look nice. You'll love it.

gorgeous, and worth the purchase.

I wasn't sure about purchasing the jewelry stand at first (I had my doubts), but those doubts quickly disappeared upon the arrival/unpackaging of the jewelry stand.
SHIPPING/PACKAGING
It was nicely packaged, and not bent or damaged when I recieved it. The stand was a little wobbly (due to careless measuring of the copper balls, the fault of the manufacturer)
THE PRODUCT
The pictures are not how it is. Remember that. I thought the tree would be more three dimensional, you know- like a real tree. It wasn't, though. It was like someone took a 2D copper tree and made it stand up. It's still pretty, though, and holds a lot of jewelry.
PRICE-WISE
If you're looking at the price and it says $45 or more, don't buy it. I waited a month for the price to go down (I'm just a cheapskate) and it did. It went from $45 or so, down to $25 or so. So, unless its life or death, be patient and buy it when the price is right.
OVERALL?
In general, I was pleased with the product. It wasn't my dream jewelry stand, but it was worth my money and the wait.

Beautiful and sturdy

This piece is far superior than I expected. It is beautiful and sturdy. I don't have a lot of fancy jewelry. I just have several everyday pieces with a few unique pieces. This tree was perfect. It is attractive, like a unique piece of jewelry itself.
