Six superb parcels of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc are selected to form the Annabel Sauvignon Blanc. One particular parcel is considered that special that it gets hand-picked for this ‘Grand Cru’ style wine. All parcels provide a unique expression; the ensemble delivers a range of vibrant flavours.

All parcels are fermented with different yeast strains, at different temperatures in order to emphasize the differences in fruit flavours and aromas. Obviously the handpicked parcel is special to us, we let it ferment and mature in barriques for some 5 months. Lees stirring these barrels further helps to creates that small percentage of a creamy / ‘leesy’ component. All this together ellevates the Annabel to a Grand Cru, subtle but complex still very recognisably ‘Marlborough’ Sauvignon Blanc.

Wonderfully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows crunchy apple, white flesh nectarine, sweet basil and lime peel aromas on the nose. The palate displays excellent weight and fruit intensity together with fine texture and bright acidity, leading to a lengthy delectable finish.
