The Satin Slipper (Le Soulier de satin) is a long play by the French dramatist and poet Paul Claudel. It was written in 1929, but first performed on stage in 1943. Its run time is roughly eleven hours. Today it is rarely staged because of its extreme length and its challenging production requirements. It was made into a film in 1985 by the Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira.
The scene is set during the Renaissance at the time of the conquistadors. The play is a love story dominated by the ideas of sin and redemption and the various characters, some divine and some comic, frequently engage in a dialogue as though between Heaven and Earth.
Full-length productions were staged in Paris and the Avignon Festival and most recently by Olivier Py at the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Paris in 2009.

Is America the Greatest Nation in the History of the World? Yes. And let Metaxas remind you.
Format: Hardcover, Format: Hardcover
EXCELLENT! Just the book I wanted to prepare for the 250th. Less textbook, more like a long chat with a friend. A great refresher on the important events of the birth of our nation and deep appreciation for some the men and women who don’t always get attention. It is so incredible how many events had to come together for our nation to come together as the GREATEST Nation in the History of the World!

great audio book

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really enjoyed Strangers. It was the perfect length — long enough to get invested in the characters without dragging on. The story felt very relatable and honest about how much people and marriages can change over 20 years. I appreciated how openly it explored growing apart, unmet expectations, and the complicated emotions that come with long-term relationships.
That said, while I could understand some of James’s feelings, I personally don’t think I could ever forgive him for walking away from his kids. That part stayed with me long after I finished the book.
Overall, an emotional and thought-provoking read that felt very re

Courage with a Dose of Strength
Format: Kindle
I believe this book took a lot of courage to write. To me she did a great job of not showing bitterness just love, confusion, and taking back the power. Belle admitted to her struggles and being knocked off her feet by what happened. She asked the questions and was left with No answers. She picked herself up and proved she was strong.
I love that she still believes in her life story. That she still believes in love. But i also admire that she recognized the cycle and is going to break it for her kids.
So, hopefully this book will be another way people realize we need to stop shifting the blame do the victim. Put ownership where it belongs. Stop, listen, and be a friend.
