The Tessellated Vest is worked from the bottom up. The body is worked in the round until the divide for the yoke. The remainder is worked flat, and the shoulders are finished using the 3 needle bind off. Andrea chose 3 different yarns to use in the colourwork! A solid for the main colour (A) and then one colour shifting yarn (B) and one fuzzy yarn (C) for the contrasting colours, to create a truly unique and engaging fabric.
We are drooling over the potential possibilities in combining the gorgeous Merino d'Arles Mokosh from Hey Mama Wolf (Yarn A), the magical hand-dyed marl, entirely unique to RiverKnits, Chimera (Yarn B) and the glorious, voluptuous Fyberspates Cumulus as our fuzzy fix (Yarn C).

We've done the maths for you, so according to your size the Tessellated Vest Yarn Kit contains all the yarn you need to make your very own, and it can be bought with or without the pattern. In addition you'll need circular needles size 3.5mm / US4 80 - 100cm / 32-40” length, circular needles size 2.75mm/US2 80 - 100cm / 32-40” length, and preferred needles for small circumference knitting for armholes and collar. You'll also need 2 stitch markers, spare needle for three needle bind-off, stitch holders, a darning needle for weaving in your ends and an optional cable needle.
