Sam Haid is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily in collage and photography. His work meditates on the anxieties of existing within the cosmos. Various themes of existentialism, the cosmos, climate destabilization, and human-beings relationship with Earth are explored.
Sam's photography and collage address the same central topics while embracing their own unique mediums and perspectives. Sourcing from the internet, astronomy magazines, and his own photography, Haid uses analog collage to create inner and outer worlds of existence; real and surreal, meditations and predictions. Sam's photography acts as an informal journal, recording daily encounters of subtle evidence of the bizarre and dynamic relationship human-beings have with Earth.
He received his BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2016.
