Overview

The Fernco SC345 320-345 mm shear banded coupling is designed to connect or repair low-pressure pipelines such as sewer, stormwater, and wastewater systems. The coupling is suitable for pipes with an outer diameter range of 320-345 mm. When compared with standard rubber pipe joiners, the shear banded coupling incorporates an additional reinforced stainless steel shear band positioned at the centre.

The Fernco shear banded coupling is made from flexible EPDM rubber or nitrile rubber and fitted with 316 grade stainless steel clamps, ensuring durability, elasticity, and stable long-term performance. The shear band helps protect the joint against corrosive environments, reduces the impact of shear forces caused by vibration, soil movement, or surface loading, and assists in maintaining consistent flow alignment inside the pipeline.

The Fernco SC shear banded coupling range is WaterMark licensed for use in Australia and can be used with compatible rubber bushes (sold separately) when connecting dissimilar pipe materials.

You absolutely need to have a perfectly flat bottom on it. If the center of the bottom of the mug does not make direct contact with the very center of the warmer, it will not transfer heat. So straight way plan of spending another $15 to $20. Amazon has some available with good reviews all be it not a very big selection. I'm giving this 4 stars because the description needs to be very clear about this and its not.
