France Gall was a prolific French vocalist and performer, remembered as one of the central figures of the 1960s yé-yé pop movement. Aligning catchy, spirited rhythms with lighthearted lyrics and drawing from the beat music a la early Beatles and Hollies, the yé-yé artists promoted a sort of new freedom of expression and breaking down of social barriers in post-WWII France. Third Man Records is beyond honored to bring this music to a larger audience by issuing the first authorized North American vinyl pressings of these titles, some of the most brilliant highlights from Gall's catalog.While France Gall had been releasing music since she was 16 it wasn't until she took the Grand Prix at the 1965 Eurovision Song Contest with her rendition of Serge Gainsbourg's 'Poupée de Cire, Poupée de Son' that she would be catapulted to the top of the swinging yé-yé scene alongside the likes of Francoise Hardy, Sylvie Vartan and Bridgette Bardot. This record contains two of France's most loved tracks, 'Poupée de Cire' and 'Laisse Tomber Les Filles' also penned by Gainsbourg. She recorded versions of the title track in French, German, Italian and Japanese and was now an international pop superstar. At the time France was dismissed by many as making fluffy ultra-commercial pop hits but her music stands the test of time far better than most, as not many were making music of this consistent high quality. Product leaks into the cap

The packaging appears to be defective and potentially tampered with. Specifically, the nozzle is a different color from the rest of the tube—one that is not consistent with the brand’s standard packaging (I am familiar with this brand and have purchased it before). Additionally, the cap does not close properly, causing the product to leak into the lid and resulting in unnecessary waste.
This raises serious concerns about the product’s authenticity, quality control, and whether it may have been previously opened or altered.

Best facial sunscreen I have used
Coola makes the best facial sunscreen, and I have tried many brands previous to using Coola. The texture is light and creamy without being oily, absorbing well and leaving no white residue. It does not clog my pores and nor cause those white bumps that last for months. Coola sunscreen works well to protect my skin from sunburn and from making more freckles and dark spots. It has no perfumy fragrance, much to my relief.
Once it has dried, I can apply concealer or powder over it. No oily streaks or caking of other make-up so I have no excuse to avoid wearing this sunscreen every day.
I have recommended Coola facial sunscreen to my friends who had laser dermabrasion. Their skin is more sensitive to both perfumed chemicals and sun exposure, and they have given good reports too.

Pricey, but worth it.
Coola products were included in a swag bag for a work vacation at a resort & I’ve not looked back. (The smell of the body spray sunscreen made me wish I could eat it, tbh.) This product has become my daily sunscreen as it’s the only one I’ve tried that doesn’t cause my skin to break out. I love the natural ingredients in their products AND that it doesn’t add to reef barrier breakdown. I only wish the brand wasn’t so pricey, but the benefits are worth it to me.
