A brand-new Blu-ray from VIDEOSMASH captures Paul McCartney’s much-talked-about secret gig in New York, held just before the start of his latest tour. This release features the complete performance in full HD, with uncompressed linear PCM audio for the ultimate in visual and sound quality, directly sourced from the live streaming broadcast!
On September 7, 2018, Paul performed this surprise show on a special stage set up inside Grand Central Station in New York. The intimate gig featured live debuts of three new tracks from his then-latest album Egypt Station — “Come On to Me,” “Who Cares,” and “Fuh You.” In addition, a special treat for fans was a rare performance of The Beatles’ “From Me to You”, the first time it was included in his solo set. Other highlights included “Lady Madonna” with a live horn section, and an emotional acoustic rendition of “Blackbird” performed up close, surrounded by the audience.
Bonus content includes his TV appearance the night before on The Tonight Show, where he performed new material, as well as news footage of another secret show at the Cavern Club in Liverpool prior to the New York event.
