It uses active infrared autofocus for distance measurement with a central focus zone, combined with programmed auto exposure for automatic control of shutter speed and aperture. The camera employs a leaf shutter system with speeds up to approx. 1/700s, and supports DX-coded film for ISO detection. It features motorized film advance and rewind, a built-in electronic flash with automatic activation modes, and a compact weather-resistant polycarbonate body. Power is supplied by a single CR123A lithium battery. The design prioritizes portability with fully automatic operation and minimal manual controls.
