The way in which this Weberian scholar flowed from personal account to prose to sociological analysis to music and even political intervention has had a lasting impact on my own work as a cultural anthropologist. It made me understand that as scholars we must use different means in order to give expression to the totality of the lived experience: There is only so much in an academic text... The medium changes the message. In this sense, I guess, I'm a singing cultural anthropologist... The widespread availability of Digital Audio Workstations, sequencers, loopers, and delay pedals has led us into a futuristic cul de sac best described by Mark Fisher as the very absence of future. Likewise, I am most skeptical of the 'naturalist' countermovement, the return of folk... I involuntarily returned to pop music in it's two-folded meaning of something popular and addressing not an essentialist notion of 'Volk' or it's woke cousin 'communities', but society as a whole. I entered the studio just with a few lo-fi sounding melodies and rhythms from my circuit bent CASIO synthesizer. I had no clue what the finished product would sound like. But as soon as Markus [Acher] started drumming, in a way strangely reminding me of Can's Ethnographic Forgery Series, my uptight sounds were suddenly embedded within a warmer global sound spectrum. The alien at home and abroad and the strange overlapped: We were seeing one and the same sound differently but were gently held together by Tobias [Siegert]'s producing. Making music is about building coalitions. It's about suggesting an articulation of styles, sounds and people, that hasn't materialized, yet, but may help us in the current crisis: I wanted Amon Düül II to send their drug-induced archangel thunderbird to rescue the refugees, that had tried to escape the police by climbing up a tree in Munich in 2016. I wanted Sun Ra to taunt far-right protesters in Chemnitz in 2018. And I wanted to mourn the loss of a former kebab shop cum discotheque that served as proof that there is such a thing as a minoritarian universalism..."Music by Julian Warner, Markus Acher, and Tobias Siegert. good value and battery life

Love this!! the keyboard has a good life on it and charges pretty fast. I at first didn't really like that it detaches, but being able to hold the keyboard in my lap and type on the screen while I sit on the sofa is actually pretty nice. the trackpad does have a bit of a learning curve, but gestures/hotkeys are all listed on the bottom so it's easy to check whenever necessary.
The material of the case itself also cleans really easy. I spilled a drink on it and it wiped right off. I feel like this is a pretty good value all things considered, especially when similar products at big box stores can eb a couple hudnred bucks.
The only downside is that the keyboard, while slim, does add a bit of bulk to the case. It's not a huge deal for me, but my boyfriend who also has an ipad did notice the difference immediately.

Heavy! It is a nice case and the keyboard works good. Turns off randomly, but not too annoying. This case is heavy though! It at least triples the weight of my iPad, which is opposite the reason I got an iPad Air. Too late to return, I just take the keyboard out, but it must be the magnets in the case that are so heavy.

Fantastic keyboard!

Pleasantly surprised!! And less than half the price of an ipad folio keyboard - I know, one feels like one has to stay in brand. So I was nervous about buying a keyboard that wasn't made by Apple. But to be honest, the Apple keyboards and mice have betrayed me on numerous occasions. They have not earned my loyalty and need to reassess their dubious life choices.
I needed a protective cover to stop my cats doom scrolling while I am asleep. I am OK with them using the internet - even though I have had random people text me back a picture of a large feline left nostril and just the letters WFT? It is what it is. I think they are little geniuses. But they scratch the ipad surface which is annoying. So I thought, what the heck - I am about to do my RN-BSN online and need a way to make my ipad transportable while protected, and set up so I can easily bang out some homework assignments on the run.
Easy set up! What a relief! Tech usually hates me - sees me coming from a mile off and starts planning to at best ruin my day, and at worst have me calling my therapist. At first I started reading the instructions and my teeth hurt from the bad translation into English. But even with that negative energy I was able to set it up very quickly. Everything just WORKED!! I know. I set a low bar. These days one has to. This time I didn't need to.
The cover is sturdy, soft and coffee resistant, thank goodness. The keyboard just plops on, connects through magic and immediately makes me feel like I am not as stupid as I thought! Absolutely recommend this wonderful keyboard - I dunno who do this voodoo but I am very excited. Crack on my lovelies! Make those dreams a reality.

Great product!

I really love this. The baby pink is so cute! I had my hesitations because I couldn’t see if the pink would be as good in real life. It’s like a soft blush color. Honestly, I was going to drop $350 on the Magic Keyboard for my iPad Air. Which is ridiculously expensive. This is a way better alternative. It fits my iPad pen. The iPad itself fits perfectly. I thought the keyboard was going to be tacky and cheap. But it’s pretty legit too. I love that when I’m done using the iPad, the whole case protects everything, even the keyboard inside and especially the camera lense. The magic key board does not have that feature. Like that it’s magnetic too. The material is so soft to touch. I can see how it can get dirty with ink spot if not careful. Overall, really happy with this purchase!
