The Quiet Passion of Bill Evans is a box set anthology of collaborations, guest sessions and classic trio recordings made during the meteoric first seven years of the career of this extraordinary, internationally renowned, pianist. Throughout the set, and in an eclectic range of musical contexts, we hear the sensitive, lyrical playing that placed Evans firmly amongst the all-time jazz greats; including sessions for such legends as Charles Mingus, Cannonball Adderley, Chet Baker, Michel Legrand, Helen Merrill and the Danish trombonist Kai Winding; for progressive composer/arrangers such as George Russell, Earl Zindars, Bill Potts, Oliver Nelson and Tadd Dameron, and in collaboration with technicians of the calibre of Jim Hall, Freddie Hubbard, Shelly Manne and Bob Brookmeyer. Then Blue in Green, an exquisite Evans contribution to Miles Davis' monumental A Kind of Blue, and finally some of the deepest of musical statements in the elegant Scott LaFaro and Chick Israels incarnations of the Bill Evans Trio; one of the most influential of all jazz ensembles, led by the most complete musician of our time.

Plush rug that’s super soft. WOW!

Beautiful and super plush! I use it as an outer blanket when cold weather camping. Like a modern day cave man. One of my favorite purchases. I avoid kneeling on it while it’s on my mattress fearing it might split the hide, or damage the stitching. It fits my queen size camper bed. Cant say enough!

Big Investment for a Lifetime of Quality

Several reviews mentioned a smell lingering with the sheepskin even after being unpacked a few days. I did notice the smell when I unpacked it, but I would expect a slight odor from such an item. It was not overpowering and is completely gone after one month of having it laid out on a chest in our bedroom. It is very functional, can be sat on, knelt on, etc, but is easily brushed off and looks great! The quality is very good…someone in my family is on it every night, and we have experienced no shedding whatsoever.
Although the price is a big investment initially, I believe the quality is worthy. We plan to enjoy this beautiful sheepskin for a lifetime!

Really soft & my dog loves it. I used it as a throw over my couch for decor. The smell when I took it out of the package was probably one of the worst smells I’ve ever smelled. Like old broccoli or something. I left it outside to air out all day and that was gone.

Not premium quality! I've seen actual authentic ones before.

Despite all the positive reviews, I believe this product is subpar. There are genuine sheep skin Hydes but this product is NOT it. There is no leather embossing showing authenticity, and many signs of strong chemical treatment. Smell is lingering and I've aired them for over two days. Not very comfortable since the fur is very thick and coarse, you would expect it to be softer for the price as well. Not premium quality. I ordered this for my children to sleep on at long evening Church services but now I will look to more niche sellers for a higher quality product.
