Barbara Ann M. Messina, Ph.D., is a clinical assistant professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook whose own daughter, Rosalie Nicole Messina, was conceived through in vitro fertilization. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society for Nurses. A native of Long Island, Dr. Messina enjoys reading, gardening, and cycling.
