This book is the rare chronicle of a new and unexplored world. The vast sweep of Southeast Asia at the end of the 1850's awaits you.

Henri Mouhot was an artist, naturalist and explorer who dedicated the last four years of his life to exploring the interior of what was then Siam. This is the story of his travels as he studied the people, the languages, the abundant flora and fauna of 1858, 1859 and 1860.

This is the momentous story of one of the great journeys of discovery. First published in two volumes, both have been restored, re-edited and published together in this volume; rescued from oblivion so that we may learn about a world that is lost in time. This is the story of the short work and fitting end of a great man. While on safari in the jungles of Laos, Mr. Mouhot was attacked by jungle fever and died after twenty-two daysÕ illness. His energetic mind, full of the task he had to perform, remained clear to the end, and his last words are contained here.

The sadness of the massacre
Format: Paperback
I am not sure how I came across this book but am glad I did. This is one reason why we should never try to erase our history whether good or bad. Sadly, I feel the hate still lingers amongst people but I will never forget when Dr Martin Luther King was assasinated. I was just 19 and my heart sank to lose such a good leader. This book opened my eyes to look and support our leaders whether white or black. Skin color does not define who we are

An Impressive detailed account for many to learn from
Format: Paperback
I haven’t finished with 2 chapters remaining but it’s a well thought out and vivid account of the horrific events of the Tulsa massacre. I was a novice on this event, having only known the high level details, and was given a more detailed lesson and edification of he horrific massacre of the Greenwood district of Tulsa OK. Well done Mr King!
