How did the large island in the lake get a name like Jacquot he wondered? Learning about the Jacquot brothers lead him to the Dicksons and preparing this manuscript! The Jacquot/Dickson joint venture began with writing the history book of the Kluane Lake area almost immediately after their meeting in 1898, establishing Burwash Landing and the marriage of Eugene Jacquot to Ruth Dickson in 1921. Many of their descendants remain in the Yukon and Alaska today.
