Winner of the Christian Literary Award and Christian Indie Publisher Award, Third Place Winner of the Living Now Book Award and Selah Book Award, and finalist in the National Indie Excellence Awards, Overcoming the Narcissist, Sociopath, Psychopath, and Other Domestic Abusers is a groundbreaking, comprehensive handbook that contains everything a woman needs to know about how to recognize abuse, break free, and thrive. Written by TEDx speaker, family law attorney, and Certified Domestic Violence Professional Charlene Quint, this landmark guide details the entire process of identifying abuse and abusers' tactics, describing the practical steps a victim must take to leave safely, and guiding victims through the journey to find hope, healing, and become the fearless women they were designed to be.

The handbook delves into the high correlation between narcissistic and anti-social personality disorders and abuse. It provides detailed tips for the legal, financial, emotional support and safety plans a woman needs to escape. It guides women and their children through healing. For women of faith, the book digs deep into scripture to bring spiritual healing for victims, and provides biblical best practices for clergy on how to support victims while holding abusers accountable. With a multi-disciplinary approach, it educates, equips, encourages, guides, and provides comfort and hope to women escaping abuse so they can live a victorious life of peace and wholeness. Overcoming is endorsed by clergy, lawyers, judges, seminary professors, therapists, elected officials, and survivors.

Charlene Quint, a family law attorney, Certified Domestic Violence Professional, and domestic abuse survivor, draws on her experiences and expertise to help victims of abuse master the essential 3 R's of Abuse: recognize, remove, and recover. Ms. Quint was awarded the Augustana College Alumni Humanitarian Award for her groundbreaking work with survivors of domestic abuse.

The book is a must-read for victims of abuse as well as counselors, clergy, congregation leaders, lawyers, judges, guardians ad litem, medical professionals, and other professionals dedicated to helping others.

A companion workbook for support groups, small groups, and Bible studies is available starting in 2025.

“This book is amazing. It’s everything that a woman seeking to escape an abusive relationship will need to know. This is the one book to have when dealing with a domestic violence situation. It’s a godsend.”

In one readable yet comprehensive book, Charlene Quint covers what every woman needs to know about identifying abuse, getting out safely, healing, and moving on with her life.”

What makes this book different? It is more comprehensive than any book I’ve read on domestic violence. Charlene recognizes that people are complex, so in this book, she addresses the whole person (psychologically, physically, and spiritually).

Campy fun stories; same basic scenario on repeat
Format: Paperback
Scenario: heartthrob hero/turned freak who nevertheless gets the gorgeous girl; caveman flunky jealous of the freak; girl's vain mastermind father. Campy dialogue, fun though formulaic art. Enjoyable in small doses, as the scenario from issue to issue doesn't vary a lot.

The ultimate "wake-up" scent (and no dry skin!)
Scent: Citrus + Eucalyptus, Size: 12.2 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I’ve tried plenty of "invigorating" body washes, but most of them just smell like artificial lime or leave my skin feeling tight. This Huron Body Wash is in a completely different league. Why it’s my new daily go-to: Complex, Fresh Scent: The mix of citrus, eucalyptus, and mint is incredible. It’s crisp and bold enough to wake you up in the morning, but the aromatic greens give it a sophisticated, high-end finish that doesn't smell like a cheap drugstore brand. Actually Moisturizing: Usually, "cleansing" washes strip your skin, but the coconut oil and Vitamin E in this actually leave my skin feeling smooth. I’ve noticed way less dryness on my elbows and shoulders since switching. Great Lather: A little goes a long way. It creates a rich, creamy lather that feels premium and rinses off clean without any slimy residue. The "Peace of Mind" Factor: It’s hard to find a performance-focused body wash that is also vegan and cruelty-free. Knowing I'm getting a professional-grade product without the harsh chemicals (and with Witch Hazel to keep my skin clear) makes the price totally worth it. Bottom Line: If you want to start your day smelling like a high-end spa rather than a locker room, get this. It’s worth every penny!

Great product that seems to last a good long time
Scent: Citrus + Eucalyptus, Size: 12.2 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)
This has a subtly pleasant smell. I like it. I like the consistency too. I will order again. It's soft on my skin and super easy to use. I like the bottle size. It's not too big and it's not too small.

Smells Amazing, Premium Price
Scent: Sea Salt, Size: 11.3 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Great body wash overall. It smells really good clean, fresh, and not overpowering. It lathers well and leaves my skin feeling clean without drying it out. The only downside is that it’s a bit pricey compared to other options, but the quality and scent definitely make it worth considering.
