LP version. Featuring Nicholas Bullen (founder member of Napalm Death and Scorn) and John Pickering (founder member of Doom and Sore Throat), Birmingham-based Rainbow Grave channel the blank despair of negative punk through layers of distorted psychedelic damage: dirty guitars, freeform pedal abuse, and effected vocals coagulate around cyclic bass and drum rhythms in repetitive and minimal structures. After a performance at Fat Out Fest in Salford in April 2017, God Unknown Records approached the group to record a split 7" single (GODUNK 043EP). Released in July 2018 as part of volume three of the God Unknown Singles Series, Rainbow Grave's Death Pyramid is a crawling mantric blend of heavy bass, psychedelic guitars, robotic vocals, and hard drums described as "deeply hewn heaviness" (Shindig) and "congruent with the great scum rock purveyors of the late '80s" (The Wire). Following the reception of the single, God Unknown invited Rainbow Grave to continue the relationship with the release of the "Sex Threat/You Are Nowhere" 7" single in November 2018. This was given Single of the Week by John Doran at The Quietus.

Great quality for price
Size: Large-3SET
A little on the thin side, but it’s made with sustainable bamboo, and is nice to work with. Just don’t ever ever let a bamboo board like this stay wet for a long time. It WILL absolutely warp/de-laminate.

Deep study- excellent read
Format: Kindle
Would recommend this carefully crafted book by a biblical scholar. The book wrestles salvation, identity, and purpose as written in Paul’s letter to the Romans.

A slow journey worth taking
Format: Kindle
I found this book by accident and loved the title so I “got on board.” It too a bit to get “this train” moving but as Beverly Roberts Gaventa built steam I became more and more engaged with Romans and her engagement with it. I highly recommend reading this to get a full view of Romans and all it has to give us. Thank you For taking me with you on this journey.

Fresh, exciting, energizing insights on Romans
I was delightfully surprised by the fresh insights of deep significance that Gaventa uncovers in the book of Romans, of all things--that book about which so, so much has already been written. She helps the reader approach the letter's themes as if one were reading it for the first time with 1st-century lenses, and in the process expands and reorients the reader's understanding of salvation, and the question of why Paul is even writing in the first place. The 21st-century repercussions of what Gaventa presents here would take another volume, but she does at points connect some of these dots herself. One notable reason why Gaventa's reading seems so fresh is that while it touches on them very briefly, but doesn't dwell on so many of the recurrent topics in recent discussions on Paul, such as "faith/fulness of Christ" or "works of the law" or "righteousness/justice of God." She simply helps focus attention on what to keep in mind when reading Romans in order to understand what is happening in and through its complex arguments. And I couldn't put it down until I finished. Although I would otherwise say we need another Romans commentary like we need rocks in our shoes, it offers much promise that Gaventa's big commentary which she is producing might very well revolutionize our understanding of aspects of Romans, and perhaps even Paul in general. At the very least, if it expands on what she has already given us in this slim volume, it will absolutely reenergize our engagement with this part of the New Testament.
