Vajra Nebbiolo Clare J.C. is a beautiful red wine to enjoy during the summer months.  This year's release has a bright ruby color that reveals the freshness of this wine delicacy.  The 2021 growing season in Piedmont was long and dry which helped set the wines up with incredibly well developed fruit.  It has an effusive nose loaded in fall raspberries, wild cherry, pomegranate, red currant fruit and laced with rosemary, thyme and purple flowers.  The intensity of the growing season shows on the palate with more structure than 2020, with layers of red berry fruits that are almost unrelenting in richness and backed by a smooth as silk finish.  Put a slight chill on this wine and it becomes refreshing with a precise focus to the palate.  A perfect wine to sip with spicy Asian cuisine, five spice roasted duck, baked pork tenderloin w/ a dry rub or grilled salmon.
