The transition from the relatively flat Great Plains to the craggy peaks of Colorados Front Range is one of North Americas most abrupt topographical contrasts. The epic, 1,800-million-year geologic story behind this amazing landscape is even more awe inspiring. In Geology Underfoot along Colorados Front Range, the most recent addition to the Geology Underfoot series, authors (and geoscientists) Lon Abbott and Terri Cook narrate the Front Ranges tale, from its humble beginnings as a flat, nondescript seafloor through several ghostly incarnations as a towering mountain range. The books 21 chapters, or vignettes, lead you to easily accessible stops along the Front Ranges highways and byways, where youll meet the apatosaur and other dinosaurs who roamed the floodplains and beaches that once covered the Front Range; look for diamonds in rare, out-of-the-way volcanic pipes; learn how Americas mountain, Pikes Peak, developed from molten magma miles below the surface only to become an important visual landmark for early Great Plains travelers; and walk the Gangplank, a singularly important plateau for both nineteenth-century westward expansion and our understanding of the Front Ranges most recent exhumation. A healthy dose of full-color illustrations and photos demystify the concepts put forth in the authors elegant, insightful prose. With Geology Underfoot along Colorados Front Range in hand, youll feel like youre traveling through time as you explore the Front Ranges hidden geologic treasures.Binding Type: Paperback

Fantastic tool for dog owners!
Size: 1-pack
This is a great tool to keep your dog active without getting your hands messy! I discovered it launches better when you don't push the ball completely into the holder, but just have it in partially. The ball included is nice and bouncy. The launcher also works with Kong balls.

Endless Fetch Fun—Perfect for My Jack Russell!
Size: 1-pack
This ball launcher has been a total game-changer for fetch time with my Jack Russell! She has tons of energy, and this helps me keep up without wearing out my arm. It works great with most standard tennis balls, so I don’t have to worry about tracking down special ones.

It is good for small yards but not so good for distance.
Size: 1-pack
Getting used to a ball thrower takes practice. This one is no exception. The angle is off for me. If I use it as an extension of my arm it goes straight to the ground, but once I got the hang of it. Balls launch with great height. Distance isn't a feature for this tool.

Get a longer launcher. This only throws 30 ft
Size: 1+3pack
Buy a longer launcher!!!
I got what I paid for!
A 12.2 inch launcher does not build up enough energy to throw it very far and it is tweaking my elbow. The dog is very disappointed since the ball only goes about 30 feet. I’ll keep it for small dog park use. The balls are hard and my 22 pound Cockapoo can’t get it to squeak.

These are dog tested and approved.
Size: 1-pack
The launcher works very well and will probably last forever unless your dog chews it up while bring it to you to get you to play, but the balls, well, they're not made for labs, that's for sure. That's the bad news. The good news is that worn out or abandon tennis balls fit the launcher just fine. Save your throwing arm. Do your dog(s) a favor. Buy this thing.
