058-036-17 includes a 2500N gas spring which lifts the boom when the kicking strap is released, opening the leech of the sail. Excellent for trimming the main in light air. A Rodkicker with a gas spring replaces the topping lift, making reefing fast and simple.

Another purpose with this rigid vang is to facilitate sail handling when reefing, preventing the boom from dropping into the cockpit or onto the coach roof. It also doubles the purchase of your kicking strap. Kicking strap is not included.
