  • Friday, May 1st, from 11AM to 7PM ET

Please Note: Registration for this workshop closes on April 17th at 11:59 pm.

About the Workshop:

In this one-day, in-person workshop, participants will create a softcover binding that connects and separates two distinct book structures—a sewn signature book and an accordion-structured book—allowing them to function as a unified whole or as two independent books. The result is a thoughtful dialogue between the two formats, with heavyweight paper covers suitable for handmade editions, library copies, or artists' books, incorporating innovative and creative aesthetic elements.

For the cover, we will use a structure called LINK in-1, which connects the design of the front cover with the inside design of the cover, creating a related yet distinct repetition of the original motif. It allows for multiple variations through folds and cuts. Students will leave with a unique book structure and the knowledge to re-create it again and again! View a video example of this book structure here!

Simple, fragrance-free base lotion that plays well under sunscreen
Size: 18 Ounce (Pack of 1)
I bought this as a moisturizing base before beach days, on my dermatologist s-style routine: at home I apply this lotion first, let it sink in, then tanning cream, and then layer broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF) on top. The goal was an even, soft, brown tan without that tight, dry feeling after sun and salt. In this role, it worked well for me. I didn’t finish the bottle over the season, and now I use it after the shower as my everyday body lotion. Why I chose it (and what actually “works” here): It’s fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, so it’s basic and gentle. The key active is colloidal oatmeal, a classic skin protectant that helps soothe and support the moisture barrier. Value for money was the clincher: a big bottle, simple formula, no extras I don’t need. Real-life notes from first use: It’s not ultra-rich (don’t expect a heavy occlusive butter), but as a daily hydrator or under-SPF base, it’s reliable and comfortable .The texture is fast-absorbing and non-greasy on my slightly dry skin. So, a straightforward, affordable oatmeal lotion that kept my skin calm under sunscreen in summer and now does the job after showers. No complaints—just a workhorse moisturizer that earns its keep.
