Machined from carbon steel, it is used together with a matching WI series lockwasher, whose tab bends into a nut slot to secure, lock, and retain bearings and power transmission assemblies and to prevent loosening from vibration, shock, and torque.
Engineered for high axial loading applications, the NI-06 installs with no special tools and works effectively on both soft and hardened shafts. It is rated for operating temperatures up to 300°F, is manufactured in the USA, and is RoHS compliant.
