This gorgeous vintage style Fairisle Yoke Sweater is made from pure rustic highland wool with baby alpaca fairisle colourwork at the yoke with a new mock turtleneck.

Designed by UMIFORM Knitwear, our own Woollykins Women's label and ethically made in Peru in collaboration with My Alpaca Copenhagen.

The vintage style jumper has a cute high rib neckline and very subtle puff to the sleeves and a wide rib hem that falls at the waist. The sweet Fair Isle motif is based on a vintage sweater pattern first printed in Woman's Weekly 1946.

We love the fit and length of this sweater and how it falls at the perfect length for layering over dresses or higher waisted skirts/pants. Very flattering shaping with a high mock turtleneck with a neat yoke in subtle tones in a light brown fawn baby alpaca.

Andean highland wool comes from a crossbreed sheep that lives at high altitudes over 2000ft in the Peruvian Andes and is managed by traditional shepherds in the high country. The sheep is a cross between Merino and Corriedale and the wool has exceptional strength, elasticity and warmth. With care, highland wool garments will become heirloom pieces that you will pass down through the generations.

95% Highland Wool 5% Baby Alpaca from Peru.

Breathtaking
Format: Kindle
A fantastic coming of age story about a young woman finding love for the first time while spending the summer before college with her grandmother. She also manages to reconnect with her artistic side as she spends time with her grandmother, who is a fairly well known artist. Though it is subtle, I felt that the interplay between the scientists heading off to MIT to study planetary science and the artist trying to figure out whether the abstract painting she was working on was still "speaking to her" or just something she messed up is the tension that drives a good portion of Aria's story.

Very Important Message for All of Us
Format: Hardcover
Absolutely delightful, oftentimes comical look at what is a very serious situation, collection of memorable metaphors of a memoir. A real page turner. I highly recommend it. There is a subtle recognition of a spiritual nature that we are all born with. Only some of us have the courage to live out the compelling spiritual direction that we come into the world with. Thank you Kyle.

Parents beware!
Format: Hardcover
This books is about a trans child running away from home and it basically teaches children how to do it. Nearly a step by step example. Then at the end of the book the author offers “resources” and advice. The first advice the author gives is “this book itself is the advice” (meaning: run away from home) and then the author lists ways a child can get around their parents. Even telling children that if they have parental control features on their phones preventing them from looking up stuff (assuming “resources” to run away) that they can go to the library, even suggesting they ride their bike to the library so their parents don’t know, to look up “resources” at the library. My daughter was somewhat disturbed by this book. She said: “I feel like it’s trying to brainwash me into hating you! I had to remind myself of who I am like every chapter. I’m afraid for kids who don’t know better.” Parents beware!
