Pretty ‘copper wire’ colour with a clear and bright appearance. Lovely perfume here! Pink grapefruit zest with delicate rosewater and lilac florals. Real nice savoury/bready note and sort of berry cream cheese thing going on which really hits the spot too. Texture, texture and texture! Super happy the feel of this wine across the palate. Delicious and popping with bright red berry flavours. A fine bead of salivating acidity snaps everything to attention. Nice soft tannins and phenolics add body and a gentle, soft grip to the finish. Pretty darn tasty now and ready to enjoy all summer long.

This seasons Rose was crafted primarily using the Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir clone Mariafeld growing on their Blue Rock Vineyard. This season they also included some Pinot Noir clone 10/5 from their Eclipse Vineyard.

The 2020/2021 growing season was a stark reminder for many of them in the grape farming community that they deal with a seasonal crop and a vineyard is a business without a roof overit! Mother nature doesn’t care that cold, wet springs are really, really tough on them! One factor which made the previous harvest such a pleasure was the long warm Autumn they experienced during picking. The Indian summer continued through the winter months of June and July with plenty of blue-sky days and little rainfall. Winter did eventually arrive, but it arrived in spring! They battled a record number of frost events and had to deal with persistent cold, wet southerly fronts throughout the key flowering period in late October/early November. Normally flowering takes place over a week or so and ideal conditions are dry with moderate winds. They got the opposite in the extreme! A good grape farmer will plant and cultivate a diverse array of clones and varieties in part to help negate challenging growing conditions. Different clones/varieties flower at different times, some early, some much later. In any given season there will be clones/varieties which do much better than others and this is normally down to the conditions during the key flowering stage. By having diversity, you can better ensure a consistently good outcome. So goes the theory! Yields across all varieties and all clones were well down in 2021. Pinot clones Abel and 777 fared much better than pretty much all the rest. Their Pinot Meunier, normally a real stalwart, suffered as well. Syrah flowers much later so was largely unaffected. White varieties did a little better but still well down. In the end they were down on yields by around 30-40% ... Ouch! Luckily, for them at least, due to an excellent long and dry ripening period, the quality of what was harvested was outstanding.

All fruit was whole bunch pressed to avoid over extraction. All of the free run and light pressed juice was sent to a temperature controlled stainless steel tank for long, cool fermentation. The harder pressed, darker coloured juice was fermented in seasoned 500L oak puncheons. Following 6 months on lees the tank and barrel portions were blended together and gently filtered prior to bottling in Mid-October 2021. No animal products were used to make this wine.

Continuing their tradition of supporting talented NZ artists, this years Rose label features the beautiful artwork "Water Blooms" by Wellington artist Anna Stichbury.

Food Pairing: Drink with a lunch of cured meats, soft cheeses and pate.

Comfortable and cool. Does not ride up.
Color: 01-multicolour (4-pack), Size: Medium
Extremely comfortable. Stays cool. Ample coverage. Quality material. They do not creep up. I ordered a medium which I generally take a size small. I have reordered and will reorder again to add more colors to my collection.

Great Value for Cool Thigh Protection
Color: 02-multicolour (4-pack), Size: XX-Large
For the price, I'm not sure there are better women's boxer shortlettes anywhere. I've tried more expensive brands, and for quality and cooling, these are right up there. I have other bamboo viscose undies that still get gross when I get sweaty in the summer, but these, with the large mesh panel, really help wick away a lot of that moisture, keeping you feeling dryer and cooler. I find that the leg openings are comfortable and don't roll up! and the waist band doesn't dig, nor does it roll down. These do not provide any compression, and I wasn't looking for any. I just wanted some cooling, thigh protecting women's boxers that wouldn't break the bank. These are them! Bonus- I've washed them and put them in the dryer (following their instructions), and they haven't shrunk; they look about the same and are nice and soft.

Great for the entire family but expensive
So far so good. The brand of boxers we had been buying changed their style and construction so we needed to find an alternative. These have held up well so far to multiple weeks of frequent washing and wearing from the entire family. We did size up from the usual 6/M we normally buy and ordered large to prevent the legs from rolling up which worked out great. Our daughter likes the length and how soft the fabric is for wearing under skirts and gym shorts and liners stay put without moving or leaking as another reviewer mentioned. Our son says they are comfortable and fit well being just supportive enough without being constrictive. We all agree that there seems to be not enough fabric in the back as they tend to be much tighter across the backside than the front and that also causes the waist band to ride lower in the back than the front. These have better seam placement than some brands we tried with no seam across the lady bits and no seam down the middle of the back side so they are more much comfortable but the cost is also much higher and that is why we're only giving it 4 stars. These will stay in the rotation until we find something cheaper that both us and the kids like.
