VINTAGE INFORMATION
The combination of late flowering and cool summer conditions resulted in a late
harvest period. Once again cool wet autumn conditions combined to further slow
ripening and prolong vintage. In summary 2023 was cool and wet, harvest was
later than usual, and yields were well below average. Whilst this has been a chal-
lenging season for grape growers and winemakers alike it has allowed their skills
to shine, and we expect to see elegant wines that express terroir.
WINEMAKERS NOTES
The aroma is fresh and perfumed, showing bright raspberry and some red cherry,
with hints of floral violets.
The palate has a nice weight of fruit filling it out, with a distinct acidity running
through. Berry compote, glace cherry and subtle liquorice characters notes. A
fine, fresh and fruity wine which will accompany many styles of food.
FOOD PAIRING
Enjoy with pork dumplings, roast pork, pork and fennel sausage, beef or tuna car-
paccio and pasta with Carbonara sauce.
