The body is crafted from Shimokuwa, a precious wood sourced from Mikurajima in the Izu Seven Islands. Known as "Golden Mulberry," this timber is revered for its incredible tenacity, fine grain, and natural golden luster.
To elevate the wood's natural beauty, renowned Kaga Makie artist Kosen Oshita applied multiple layers of premium Joboji lacquer—the highest grade of domestic raw lacquer from Iwate Prefecture. The result is a deep, soulful gloss that protects the wood while highlighting its unique grain.
