Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is a perennial herbaceous plant in the mint family. The stem and leaves are used in culinary dishes, drinks, and for their medicinal properties.
The plant contains several chemicals, namely eugenol, tannins, and terpenes. Hydroethanolic extract and supercritical extract refer to an extraction process that retains a higher percentage of the potentially beneficial compounds.
These chemical compounds seek to support normal protein synthesis, provide antioxidant support, and may help maintain normal detoxification and waste removal in a healthy liver and urinary tract. This formula may also promote wakefulness and abdominal comfort.
